Denning College for Teachers’ Education is established at Tezu in Lohit District which is one of the important districts situated in the easternmost part of Arunachal Pradesh. It is predominantly inhabited by Digaru Mishimis and Miju Mishimis of Arunachal Pradesh. The very objectives of the college are the promotion of education while maintaining traditional values and rich cultural heritage. The college has started the Teachers’ Training Courses to facilitate and equip the teachers with the latest skills of teaching school children of remote parts of our motherland. Tezu, the headquarter is well connected with all-weather road. The district is well known for three things: a) Famous archaeological sites viz. Khundil, Temple Tamreshwari b) A pilgrimage and a historical site- Parashuram Kund c) Rich flora and fauna.
Denning College for Teacher’s Education, Tezu, Lohit District, Arunachal Pradesh,recognized by ERC, NCTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh is established in 2013 under the aegis of Denning Society(Regd.)after the approval of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh to enhance the Educational Scenario in Eastern parts of state.It is the first B.Ed.College in Lohit District and eastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh. It is well-established co-educational institution situated near Government Water Resource Department at a distance of one and half kilometer form bus-stand at Tezu (The Headquarter of Lohit District) well connected with all weather roads.
Denning College for Teachers Education, Tezu offering B.Ed. (Two years regular course) with an intake of 100 students,50 students in B.A.B.Ed.(4 years integrated course)and B.A.(Three years course), provides skill based teaching and training programmes to bring behavioral changes in Teacher-Trainees in particular and to promote Teacher Education in general. The College is having its own building.It has two blocks within its premises which are well furnished with infrastructure, all modern facilities,separate classrooms ,sports ,reading room, computer lab with internet facility ,electric generator ,purified drinking water facility, ground water pump system, fire extinguishing system, Library and highly qualified faculty members and separate toilet facilities for boys, girls and teaching staff.. The institution promotes and supports value based education, action research, seminar, field studies and skill based training programmes. The very objective of the college is promotion of education, while maintaining traditional values and rich cultural heritage facilitating and equipping the teachers with latest skills of teaching school children of remote parts of our motherland.
